REMOVEit Results & image quality

Replaced images get a generic alt text; update it for SEO and accessibility.

Because REMOVEit replaces the image, the new image does not keep the original image's alt text. It receives a generic alt text such as Featured image for product followed by an internal product ID.

Why it matters

Alt text helps search engines understand your images and helps shoppers who use screen readers. A generic description gives neither of them useful information.

What to do

  1. Open the product in Shopify with Edit in Shopify from the task results
  2. Click the new image and choose to edit its alt text
  3. Write a short description, such as Black leather tote bag with gold zipper
